Juguemos en Español (Let’s Play In Spanish)

Entering Grade 3 – Entering Grade 6
Ethical Culture Campus, Manhattan

Hola!

Join us this summer for Let’s Play in Spanish for a full immersion language experience, where students will travel the Spanish-speaking world one country at a time, all from the familiar surroundings of 33 Central Park West!  One day, they will explore Mexico, for example; the next day, Guatemala. With fully bilingual teachers and counselors in training, they will learn and practice their vocabulary and conversational skills exploring the art, music, cuisine, and other cultural aspects of different countries and regions across Central and South America, the Caribbean and Europe.

A typical day starts with morning meetings, games, and read aloud. Then the children will have music/dance, art and cooking. Lunch is followed by outdoor playtime, travel class or movie video, and a choice activity time, which can consist of games, scrapbooking or story times. The day ends with a closing meeting, during which children help plan out the Fiesta, a culminating celebration that takes place at the end of each session. Let’s Play in Spanish campers will also go on one field trip each week and participate in interactive workshops with professional dancers.

Students may sign up for both weeks or either week.
