Ethical Culture Campus, Manhattan

Bonjour! The main focus of Le Stage de Français is to immerse participants in a French-speaking environment and to have a great time. All students should be prepared to speak only French for the entire duration of the program. In order to ensure this, all students will be required to fill out a pledge before the program begins. Students will participate in many different fun activities, including writing and performing stories,
cooking, singing and listening to music, playing games, watching movies, and speaking together about new vocabulary and grammar that relate to the activities. There will be some excursions as well, to the Metropolitan Museum to look at French art, to a French restaurant, and to Le Petit Belge, a Belgian waffle place, now well known among Fieldston French students.
Program Director
Vincent Lebrun – Vincent, a native of Brussels, Belgium, is a French teacher at Fieldston and a singer-songwriter/musician. He has been combining both careers for more than 15 years. Vincent has a unique way of teaching French through music and has led numerous camps and trips to both Europe and Canada. He always makes sure students speak, sing, think, dream, and eat French. Should a child forget and slip in a couple of English words, he will jump at the opportunity like a gentle Belgian tiger to roar out his landmark motto, “EN FRANÇAIS!”
Staff
Depending on enrollment, there will be one or several assistant(s) to help with the activities.
